The second Saturday of December is always a little sad in Miami – the first weekend post-Basel can feel almost post-Apocalyptic. The streets are trashed, the tents are coming down, and visitors are leaving the city in droves. But its not all bad; Wynwood walls are beautified with new murals, some lucky local artists are a little richer, and you’re probably so partied out that you haven’t even thought about what you’re going to do this weekend. Friday: Come'on Get Happy

We were all a little upset when BAR closed it’s doors this year, but fans of the low-key, local spot have cause for celebration with the recent opening of it’s latest incarnation, Mamushka’s. This Midtown gallery-meets-lounge-meets dive starts their live sets this Saturday, so be sure to check it out.

Hit the beach and skip Lincoln Road in favor of an artisanal, intimate shopping experience at the South Beach Indie Craft Market. The outdoor-affair features over forty independent vendors, selling everything from handcrafted clothes, jewelry and accessories, to local art and vintage/re-purposed goods for your home. Though the market takes place the second Sunday of every month, the December edition is bound to be the biggest for thoughtful shoppers looking for unique holiday gifts.
