Winding streets peppered with vintage buildings, mid-century hotels with pools out front, cute little restaurants you’ve probably never checked out, and breathtaking views of the sparkling bay.  One thing the residential beach town is missing, however, is a cool nightspot. Lo and behold, Trio on the Bay. Opening this Friday, Trio describes its mission as “to provide a stunning ambiance, delectable cuisine, and five star service – as well as an A-list nightlife scene incomparable to any other in Miami.” With plans for weekend DJ sets, runway shows, art installations, and theme parties, we think the Beach better watch out for the Bay.

Step out in swirling, graphic-printed kimono-style Alice + Olivia Gitana dress in bright, eye catching coral. Perfect for breezy, bayside dining. Ditch diamonds for colorful turquoise beads – the K. Okay so the title of this show had us a little confused. Who is the Surface Merchants’ Collective? What is “postgraffism?” A little research revealed the Surface Merchants Collective to be a group of three Miami artists, who are the stars of what could be this month’s most hyped Second Saturday opening. The SMC collaborated on transforming a 100-foot Cafeina wall into a multimedia, 3D, graffiti-style installation; make it your first stop on the gallery circuit.

Art Walk is a great occasion to dress up, dress down, or dress however the hell you want just to make a statement. This weekend, try out a pretty retro look to keep ‘em guessing. The Polka Dot Chic Dress by Wheels & Doll Baby is a body-conscious sheath with classic scoop neck and elbow-length sleeves, and a sweet, short hemline. Sunday: Remember the Clevelander?

What would Sunday be without hanging out on a rooftop chaise-lounge, indulging in the panoramic South Beach view, and sipping cocktails while international DJs spin their sets? Well, it wouldn’t be Open House Sundays at the Clevelander, that’s for sure. They’re calling it “Where the Ocean Meets the Sky,” but we’re calling it our new favorite spot for exclusive Sunday fun-day.

It seems that whenever we envision classy, cosmopolitan ladies lounging in that lap of luxury on a breezy, sunny day, they’re always wearing fluid, wide-legged linen trousers. Don’t ask us why, but it’s a look that says “I live a life of leisure.” While that may not be entirely (or even partially) true for most of us, it’s a mantra we can get behind, and a look we can emulate. Wear a pair of Michael Kors Linen Trousers in deep navy blue with a slim fitting, burnt-orange TopShop Scoop Neck Vest. Belt the color-blocked style with a pink Patent Roller Buckle Belt, also from TopShop, for a skinny silhouette.
