Latin Fashion in Extremes

Two of the best designers in the Latin Fashion Council's Showcase at MBIFW appeared in stark contrast with one another. One, Paulina Bedoya, used dark colors in rich textures that seemed to emphasize wealth and beauty. The other, Ana Carolina Valencia, used brights and whites, and incorporated textiles made by Colombian artisans, for a look that was adventurous and playful. Both designers stunned the runway, and presented an exciting view fashion's new frontier – Latin America.
