Walking into Sauvage boutique in the heart of Miami’s upscale Design District is like stepping into your dream closet. Racks of designer dresses, skirts, jackets and tops line the store, complimenting the displays of sumptuous bags, scarves, shoes and accessories. The vibe in the store is very calming and serene, almost as if you have been transported into a fashion wonderland.

The concept behind the Miami location is creating a wardrobe for an international woman. Women should view Sauvage as their closet, stocked with everything you need to create a stunning outfit, for any occasion.

And what a wonderland it is. Jean Paul Gaultier, Balenciaga, Balmain, Bottega Veneta, Rodarte, KaufmanFranco, Christopher Kane and Issey Miyake are just a few of the world-class designers you will find on the racks at Sauvage. Each piece is more stunning than the next, and as you sort through each dazzling display, it is clear that the fashion here is extremely cutting edge.

Originating from the transcontinental country of Kazakhstan, Sauvage is one of eleven stores expertly curated by owner Liliya Ralch. Ralch is an internationally renowned tastemaker who has built a small empire of concept boutiques across the world. Her impeccable taste and ferocious love of fashion have resulted in the development of close relationships with some of the most important designers in fashion. These relationships mean that Ralch will have special pieces designed specifically for her stores. In the world of high-end fashion, this translates to retail gold. We’re talking one of a kind Bottega Venetta bags, Balenciaga purses in animal skins and colors you won’t find anywhere else, and one of a kind pieces from designers like Oscar de la Renta, YSL and Valentino. Talk about fashion royalty!

From a museum-like boutique that houses collections from designers that aren’t working anymore like Alexander McQueen (before his untimely death) and Valentino (When Mr. Valentino was still at the helm of the brand), to a 3-story theater-esq boutique, the idea is to create unique and creative spaces to showcase the fashion. Ralch sees fashion as art. To her, a dress is not just simply a piece of cloth, it is a work of art. She feels it is more important to select the most interesting and unique pieces for her stores, rather than just carrying only the latest collections that you can find everywhere else. “Liliya chose the Design District for her Miami location because she felt this area really captures the essence of what Sauvage is all about. “ Says store manager Victoria Matveeva. “This area is filled with so many great art galleries, amazing furniture stores and there is a wonderful creative vibe here. Also we have great neighbors on this street, from Christian Louboutin to Marni, there are great designers that compliment our store perfectly.”

Although each item in Sauvage is beautiful, there are a few stand-out pieces that you must check out when you go. The stunning bright pink ruffle dress by Doo Ri, the black alligator Balenciaga bag and the laser-cut Alaïa boots. Also be sure to check out the amazing floral dresses by Jean Paul Gaultier. According to Sauvage, florals and bright colors are huge for spring/summer. And trust us, they should know.
