New Year, New Bag
Now that the holiday season has passed and the New Year is here, you can finally return all of the gifts you didn’t care for and get what you really want. A lady isn’t at her best without the perfect purse, and this year it’s all about downsizing. While there are still a number of lovely oversized hobos we can’t wait to get our hands on, designers have made it clear that small, petite bags are a classic compliment to your every day ensemble.
© Marc Jacobs, Tory Burch, BE & DMarc by Marc Jacobs designs some of the most coveted purses at a practical price. With that being said, we’ve fallen head over heels for the Party Foret Cosmo Bag. This cross body option comes in a fresh shade of stone – a hue to brighten up any of your dark, warmer get ups. We love the unique stitching and gold chain strap, along with its hardware. We love the resin look on its magnetic flap, and the strip of leather at the shoulder strap. There’s nothing like purchasing a cute bag and then realizing how uncomfortable it is, so we appreciate the engineering of this piece.
Next, we turn to Tory Burch to clue us in on the bucket bag trend. We love the Killaen Pouchette for its pebbled leather and cross-body style. Available in dark sand and a basic black, this bag comes with a drawstring closure through leather tabs. While the body of this option is basic, leave it to Tory to add her minimalist touch with silver studs and a chain/leather shoulder strap combination.
Our last pick is the Leopard Capra Bag by BE & D. We first noticed BE & D a couple of seasons ago, and are constantly impressed by each new line. This leather purse features the look of hair calf, while offering a textured leopard print. We love the combination of chain and leather woven detail at the front, but our favorite feature is the double chain strap that gives a cross-body purse an edgy feel.
What new purse are you pushing for? Are you a fan of a mini or oversized bag?
