Snowbirds Flock to Sebastien James

Miami’s Design District is quickly becoming one of the most popular South Florida destinations for fine dining, home décor and of course, fashion. Two years ago, clothing boutique Sebastien James opened their doors in the design district (there is another location in the Aventura Mall) and began outfitting some of Miami’s most fashionable residents.

“We have a very international clientele here at Sebastien James” says owner and namesake Sebastien Scemla. “A lot of my clients are what I call part-time locals. They have residences in Miami and elsewhere, and they always come to see me when they are in town.” It’s easy to see why. Conveniently located next to the highly acclaimed Michael’s Genuine Food and Drink, Sebastien James offers beautiful clothing, at reasonable prices. “It’s not about the brand names,” says Scemla, “it’s about offering beautiful, great quality clothing at a good price.”

There are luxurious cashmere sweaters and scarves, perfect for the South Florida “winter”, and tons of on-trend tops and bottoms to create a perfect night-on-the-town outfit. Going somewhere fancy? Need a New Years dress? Sebastien James has you covered. There are an abundance of embellished party dresses that will have you looking South-Beach-chic in no time.

And then there’s the men section. Be sure to drag your significant other in to check out the dress shirts, pants and jackets Scemla designs exclusively for his store. “I design the menswear myself.” Says Scemla. “So I would say it’s definitely my favorite line in the store.”

So they next time you’re having an afternoon out with the girls, make it a Design District day. Have a little lunch at Michael’s, take a peek inside the Christian Louboutin store (did we mention it’s right across the street?) and stop in to check out the latest fashions at Sebastien James. You won’t be disappointed.
