Bootielicious
Booties are meant to accentuate your style, silhouette, and all around confidence. They give you that extra lift that leave your legs looking long and lean, with an upright feminine posture. One of my favorite things about booties is that they easily transition from day-to-night, and always leave you looking fresh.
Whether they’re leather, suede, lace-ups, or buckled, they all have a place in my, well, closet. While you may already have your picks for this season, here are some old and new booties to update your wardrobe.
© Twelfth St., LAMB, House of Harlow 1960Nothing is sexier than a corset done right. Thankfully, with the Newman Corset Back Booties by Twelfth St. by Cynthia Vincent, looking overdone is the least of our worries. These lush satin booties feature a corset-style lace up on top of its 4” stacked stiletto heel, and a basic buttoned strap across the ankle. If it were up to me, I would make all heels platform, and thankfully this pair follows suit. I can see myself stepping out in these with a leather legging, oversized nude tee, and layers upon layers of necklaces.
Next, with the same structure, but a different story, I bring you the Leslie Lace Overlay Booties by House of Harlow 1960. These classic booties offer a square toe take on your basic bootie. The lace overlay has a romantic feel, and would pair flawlessly with our new favorite trend: the long sleeve mini dress!
Last, but certainly not least are the Guru Suede Wedge Booties by L.A.M.B. The cognac color instantly drew me to this wedge-bootie hybrid, but the cut and texture gives these cutout sling-backs a perfect 10 score. These artful booties present patchwork panels that would flow effortlessly with any look from day to night.
Which bootie is your favorite? Is your go-to pair a classic, or edgy and running with the trends?
