Tropical storms are nothing new to Miami, but leave it to Florida locals to step into the rain in footwear fit for the beach. We all know natives to the city of the Heat love the ease of slipping into sandals, but it’s time to step up in these torrential downpours to something more practical. Don’t worry, we wouldn’t be writing about it if it weren’t fashionable, too!

First, I want to bring you an updated classic from the original rain boot maker, Hunter Boots. The Wedge Rain boot with Ankle Belt in titanium is the perfect cut and hue for Fall. The wedge gives the traditional boot a little © UO, Hunter Boots, Tory Burchlift, and the added ankle belt gives a simple rubber silhouette some added flair. We love that this pair goes with everything in our updated closet, and while we aren’t so fond of planning for a Tropical Storm, we’re secretly looking forward to tucking our skinnies into these bad boys.

Next, Tory Burch sticks to her roots and keeps it simple while playing with colors. The Logo Rain boots in Tory Red (or what we’re calling candy apple red), add that extra pop of color for this seasons neutral looks. We love the deep blue sole, rim, and iconic Tory Burch logo. With the height of the boot, it could easily be pulled off with a knee-length day dress or skirt.

Our last pick is for those folk who just can’t seem to find a good enough reason in using half of their paycheck for a pair of rain boots. We’re not judging, in fact, we’re right there with you. Urban Outfitters designs a fashion-forward rain boot for no more than a pair of old Chuck Taylors. We love the UO Heeled Rain Boot for three reasons. Our first being the aforementioned price, of course. Second, because the forest green color is on point with the military trend and absolutely to-die-for. And lastly, we love the heel! What girl doesn’t love heels?

If all the raindrops were lemon drops and gumdrops, we wouldn’t have a use for such cute boots. So throw away those old yellow boots and sing in the rain in style. What’s your go-to pair of rain boots?
