Music, Martinis and Massages

This weekend’s diversions are as diverse as Miami herself. Whether you’re in the mood to hit the road in the name of rock, stay in town for an 80's themed party, or treat yourself to some severely discounted spa time, we've got you covered. And if all you want to do is slip out and have a cocktail with your friends, scroll down past the glam and stop when you see the words "Sunday" and "Seven."

Friday: Rock Out to the Kings of Leon

When: 7:30 p.m.
Cost: $49.35 - $71

The band’s distinctive sound and honest lyrics continue to replay on our ipods as the soundtrack to our every relationship, one-night stand and summer romance. Tonight, the Kings of Leon will be performing live at the Cruzan Amphitheatre, where hoards of people will be rocking out and raising their lighters while lead singer Caleb Followill croons his heart out.

Let’s face it: Wearing pants to a South Florida outdoor venue – let alone a concert with lots of sweaty groupies – isn’t the best choice. Instead, invest in some cut-offs like the Women's Bobby Cut Off from True Religion. Play up the fray and win yourself some bad girl cred with a skull tee like this beauty from Alexander McQueen.

Complete the look with a pair of classic black Converse and a black hobo bag, like the Deena & Ozzy Zipper Gusset Bag from Urban Outfitters to carry all your concert essentials in. BIC lighter optional.

Saturday: Party Like It’s 1985

When: 11 p.m.

Time to dust off the extra-hold hairspray and obnoxiously colored scrunchies. Actually, we don’t recommend going that above-and-beyond, but you can still embrace your inner '80s wild child tonight at Tansit Lounge, where ‘80s cover band Eruption will be performing.

For this event, we suggest you step away from the mullet and take subtle notes from 1980s fashion – bright colors, voluminous shapes and denim are just a few examples. Construct a look from the past by taking inspiration from these subtleties and making it current.

The Rachel Skirt in Strawberry by Myne is a great color and complements all skin tones. Tuck a faded black tank into it like this one by Inhabit, and throw a distressed denim vest into the mix, like this one from True Religion. For shoes, stick to flats. How else are you supposed to moon walk? The Obi Black Jelly Flat Sling by Kate Spade should do just the trick – and you'll get points for wearing shoes that look like evolved Jellies.

Sunday: Seven at The Raleigh

When: 4 to 8 p.m.

We’ve all heard that good things come in threes, but can you imagine experiencing the sweet victory of good things coming in sevens? Thanks to The Raleigh Hotel, you can. In celebration of its 70th anniversary, the historically iconic South Beach hotel is offering happy hour specials at its Martini Bar – $7 martinis, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and valet parking. Looks like it’s time to pull out the 7 For All Mankind!

Because it's Sunday - and it's The Raleigh - go for classic and relaxed. Pair the Crop Josephina Boyfriend in tan with the sexy Drapped Top Mesh Edge blouse and you've got yourself a winning combination that looks just about as effortless as lifting a martini to your mouth. To dress this look down, opt for a simple black tank. Finish it with a pair of black lace-up sandals like the Bess Studded Lace-Ups from Net-A-Porter and pretend you're on vacation.

The only accessory you'll need is a smile, but because you will need to keep your lipstick and ID in something we suggested a small painted clutch like the Painted Floral Frame Purse by TopShop.
