Lines We Love: Rebecca Minkoff

One of my favorite things about design is the ability to formulate classics and update them with subtle differences in current style. Rebecca Minkoff is a master at this craft, creating timeless bags such as The Morning After Bag and The Matinee Bag, and changing them up a bit with studs, zippers, buckles and exotic skins season after season.

There’s no question why this line originated with only handbags, and now features collections of leather accessories and a full clothing line. Here are some of our new and updated classics by a line we love, Rebecca Minkoff.

This hard-shell, structured clutch originally resembled the bright lights of the night life, so we’re happy we now have a lower key, yet still on trend option. The gold hardware and detachable snake-chain strap accent this piece perfectly. Understated leopard is going to be huge this fall, so wear this mini fling as a flirty touch with your favorite cocktail dress and pumps for your next dinner date or girls night out!

Next up is a new twist on a recently recurring trend - the Boyfriend Bag cream and black. There may be many items you can take out of your boyfriends closet, but this bag is just for you! The small, structured purse is an everyday staple this upcoming season. The cream/black color scheme, buckle accents, and chain strap give this bag a classic feel that you can truly wear with anything. 

Our last pick is an old classic in an updated hue. The Morning After Bag has a tendency to create a stir when it’s teamed up with a timeless color. Remember the days when this bag would sell out for months in colors like plum and tangerine? The times have surely changed!
